Awesome Female Drummer: Cindy Blackman Santana

This time I chose Cindy Blackman Santana as our featured Awesome Female Drummer. Normally the artists I pick have only recently come to my attention, but not this time. I've been watching her play for quite a long time and she is an amazing musician. She is well-versed in both jazz and rock. I actually first came across her, oddly enough, when she was in a Volkswagen commercial many years ago, which you can see here.
